"You don't want to start a shoot and have sweat running down your face 15 minutes later," I said to Sarah & Nick when we shot their engagement session last week, "That's no fun."
I mentioned that because it was our second go at a nice pre-wedding session.
As nice as the greenery and vibrancy of nature may be, summer shoots have their inherent complications: If it isn't over 85 degrees, then it's probably storming or threatening to do so. At least that's how it seems. Our first scheduled attempt at an engagement shoot resulted in 95-degree weather and near 100 percent humidity. Plus, the United States was vying for a lighting round match win against Germany in the World Cup. Something was telling us to that we should try again later. We decided to scrap the idea and reschedule.
Attempt #2 yielded some better results. We started in the morning to beat the heat and the noon day sun. The beautiful Mine Falls Park in Nashua, NH afforded the backdrop and Nick & Sarah stood in as the beautiful engaged couple. We're very pleased with the results!
